Our Founders

Gregory & Kara are the owners and operators of Eco Fresh Toile.

Kara is a registered nurse on an adult cardiac unit. Using her knowledge of health care, she was inspired to start a baby diaper service. She wanted to help parents care for their babies in a healthy way while reducing our carbon footprint.

Gregory is an environmentalist who cares for our planet. His reason for starting Eco Fresh Toile was that he enjoys meeting and helping people. He would like as many parents as possible to have the option to use reusable diapers for their babies.

Our Story

Founded with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to providing families with a healthier diapering choice, Eco Fresh Toile has quickly become a leading name in the world of organic baby products. Our journey began with a simple yet profound idea: to create diapers that are not only safe and comfortable for babies but also sustainable for the Earth.

Our Mission

At Eco Fresh Toile, our mission is to revolutionize the way parents think about diapering. We strive to empower families to make environmentally responsible choices without compromising on quality and comfort. How does Eco Fresh Toile work?

Eco Fresh Toile is a reusable cloth diaper pick up, laundry, and delivery service.  Each week, we deliver cloth diaper covers with organic cotton inserts to your door.  Simply use and store in your covered leak proof hamper that we provide.  One week later, we come to your door and collect the used diapers and leave you with clean fresh diapers for the upcoming week.   We take your used diapers to our cleaning facility where we have a 3-step extensive cleaning process.  Step one washes the diapers at 98 degrees (body temperature).  This separates any organic materials from the cloth.  We then wash 2 more times in our disinfecting solution.  All our soaps and cleaning materials are certified organic and eco-friendly.  After the diapers are cleaned and dried, we hand sort to ensure only the cleanest diapers are packed for shipment.  Then, we hand pack them in a laundry bag and send them out for delivery.  Our driver then conveniently delivers them to you on your scheduled delivery day.

Did you know?

Disposable diapers are the 3rd largest item found at landfills. They are estimated to biodegrade in 500 years but, they have only been around since the early 1960’s so we won’t know for sure in our lifetime. On average your baby will be wearing diapers for 2 years. That means that for the first two years of their life they will have a diaper tightly wrapped to their body which more than likely has all of the chemicals below. At the very least it will have some.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) – know reproductive toxins as well as being linked to kidney, liver, and nervous system damage, and possibly carcinogenic.

Tributyl-tin(TBT) – TBT is a forever chemical that does not decay. It lingers in our environment and water.

Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) – Polyacrylate absorbents usually are petroleum-based. The manufacturing process of these gelling agents, can become contaminated with acrylamide and acrylic acid. Both of which are known carcinogens.

Phthalates – Phthalates are not tightly bonded to the plastics. Therefore, they leach into the air and liquids, which may have harmful effects on your baby’s developing reproductive and endocrine systems.

Dioxins – The most toxic chemicals known to man. Known Carcinogenic. Extremely toxic to marine life.

Also, disposable diapers can use dyes and fragrances which can irritate your baby’s skin.
